I am a Wellness Consultant specializing in yoga and hoopdance. Above all, I'm an explorer of experiences that better help me connect to the wisdom of my body and to others in authentic ways.
I've always found centeredness and radiance in movement through out my life. I've found movement through trekking the Himalayas, completing triathalons, climbing, climbing, climbing all over the states, dancing, surfing, studying yoga, and ... hoopdance.
I began dancing at a young age and refound that passion in high school and college, performing with Goucher College Dancers and the historic dance ensemble, Choregraphie Antique.
Then came the Peace Corps in Uganda, travels to India and elsewhere, studies of yoga and simply being and connecting with others. So many stories...
In graduate school, I found the world of somatics through the study of conflict resolution.... Through somatic work, I help people to identify and release emotions, to get unstuck from unhealthy patterns and to repattern ones that serve us. Build peace from the inside and it will radiate to those around us, nourishing our relationships and how we treat the environment.
Since then, I've worked the gamut from Corporate teambuilding and experiential education to coaching youth at risk in Wilderness Therapy. I continue to guide rock climbing and trekking excursions through guide services in Southern California.
My mission is to help people in find their passions and to form authentic connections with one another.
Taking care of ourselves physically, mentally, and emotionally and listening to the wisdom of our bodies will allow us to truly follow our paths to being our best selves.
